Limiting your fluids can actually worsen incontinence or lead to serious illness. Avoid caffeine and alcohol along with beverages that can irritate the bladder like grapefruit juice and tomato-based products. Constipation can contribute to bladder problems so eat foods high in fiber to help you stay regular.

Watch your weight

Even a few pounds can make a difference. Just a 5-10% weight loss can help improve bladder control by reducing pressure in your abdomen.

Keep active

We’re talking about walking, exercising, getting out and about. We’re also talking about staying involved with family and your friends. Attitude is everything – feeling good about yourself is important in taking control.
